Insurable growth during the seasonal peak
Florex is a wholesaler of flower bulbs experiencing strong growth and a major seasonal peak. In just six weeks, turnover, stocks and enterprise value rise significantly, which also temporarily changes the risk profile substantially.
The Challenge
The existing insurer imposed additional requirements in order to be able to offer sufficient coverage during the peak period. The question was whether Florex could remain insurable without major and costly investments in preventive measures.
Our Approach
Together with JB Risicobeheer, we mapped out the processes, installations and risks during an extensive site visit. We analysed the probability and impact of the risks and compared them with the requirements of insurers. This showed that targeted optimisations were sufficient.
The Result
The close cooperation with Florex, the risk engineer and insurers resulted in a solution with more suitable terms and conditions as well as a lower premium. An insurance solution that aligns with the seasonal dynamics and the daily practice of the enterprise.
