We ensure that the personal information you provide to us is treated confidentially. Below, you will find how we handle your personal data. Processing of personal data
If we offer you services or if you share (personal) data with us in any other way, we process this in our systems if necessary so that we can properly execute the agreement you enter into with us. This may also be necessary in the process prior to entering into an agreement.
In addition, we are obliged by law and regulations to process certain personal data of yours. In certain situations, it may be that we require your consent, or that we have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data. In the latter case, we always take your interests into account as well. A legitimate interest for processing your personal data could, for example, include the prevention of fraud.

Information regarding a criminal record
Retention periods
We do not store personal data for longer than necessary. This may be for a specific purpose or because the law requires this of us. Normally, this is up to five years after our service to you has ended. We must retain some personal data for seven years to comply with Dutch tax legislation.
If you send us an email, for example, your data will be retained for as long as is necessary to fully answer and handle your request.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have a number of rights. For instance, you have the right to know which personal data we have recorded about you, for example because you want to check, correct, supplement, or block it. Under certain conditions, you can even have your personal data deleted. In addition, in some situations you have the right to restrict our processing of your personal data, or you can request us to transfer your personal data. You also have the right not to be subject to solely automated decision-making.
When we process your personal data based on your consent, you can withdraw this consent at any time. For example, you can notify us that we may no longer process your personal data for marketing activities. Following your objection, we will ensure that we do not approach you for other services or products we can offer, in addition to what you have purchased from us.

Sharing with third parties
We never share your data with third parties unless it is necessary. However, in order to perform our services for you properly, it may happen that we need to share data with third parties. This includes loss adjusters, inspectors, lawyers, occupational health experts, reintegration companies, insurers, the Kifid, regulators, and bodies involved in the investigation and combatting of fraud. If this happens, it is only to execute the agreement we have concluded with you or because the law requires us to do so.
When it is necessary for us to provide your data to third parties, we will of course ensure that your privacy is adequately protected. For example, we will only provide the strictly necessary data and only for specific purposes. It may be that these third parties also have to share your data, but in that case too, your privacy will be adequately protected.
In addition, we may also share your personal data with third parties working on our behalf. We have concluded a data processing agreement with these third parties, containing arrangements on the handling of your personal data.
Security
We protect the data entrusted to us using technical and organisational security measures to minimise the risk of loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, and modification. All employees of our office have signed a confidentiality agreement. If you nevertheless believe that your data has been misused, please contact us primarily via info@barbon.nl.
